Digital coloring pages for glad hand sews quilt patterns

Most of my quilt patterns include a coloring page, but I also like to provide digital coloring pages for my quilt patterns on PreQuilt, when possible. Both of these sites are free to use and offer coloring pages for designers from many of the popular modern quilt designers.

While I start most of my quilt designs by taking pencil to graph paper, I eventually mock them up in Adobe Illustrator. Sometimes, I even build them in Pre-Quilt first because I can play around with different fabric lines and have all the digital swatches right at my fingertips.

If you’ve never tried either of these tools to plan your color palette, I highly recommend them. You can choose your pattern in the size you want to make, select your fabric line and play and get inspired before you cut into any fabric. You can even print out your mock up to have it for reference.

ASSEMBLAGE QUILT PATTERN

The Assemblage quilt pattern is constructed using traditional piecing methods – chain piecing and strip sets make this a quick sew. The modern quilt design was inspired by the creations of female textile artists from the early Bauhaus era.

The Assemblage quilt digital coloring page can be found on PreQuilt.

Shuttle QUILT PATTERN

A quick and colorful sew, Shuttle is a no-fuss quilt project that includes fabric requirements and instructions to sew a queen size or throw size quilt. This quilt pattern also includes two colorway options: 12 colors for when you’re feeling inspired and 2 colors for when you want to keep it simple.

This modern quilt design is great when you need a gift that says, “I worked really hard on this” (even if it isn’t true).

The Shuttle quilt digital coloring page can be found on PreQuilt.

ADDITIONAL COLORING PAGES ON PREQUILT

You can find more digital coloring page on PreQuilt, including a page for each size and colorway of Color Connection, as well as Archive and Follow Your Path quilt pattern.

Color Connection uses clever cutting and construction to create a new take on the Drunkard’s Path quilt. Don’t be intimidated by the curves. I made the curves large so that it makes construction easier.

Archive is constructed in columns instead of rows like most quilts. Bonus: You don’t have to worry about matching points.

Follow Your Path is a precut-friendly pattern made to use 10” squares or layer cakes. This quilt pattern uses a disappearing 9-patch block and a disappearing half-square triangle block.
